First date night in years. Food was delicious & service was great. Lovely ambience. Highly recommended. Best to book as it gets busy. We had the three course menu. Best to get a side with mains. Loved the John Dory plus the tuna dish for entrees.

Big thanks to James and his team. We celebrated my mum's 90th birthday at Courgette on Saturday. James was very accommodating for a group of 18. Courgette provides private dining spaces with no minimum spend. Most importantly the food was amazing and our main waitress (Laura?) was extremely polite and very attentive. No request was to much trouble. Thank you for making mum's 90th an enjoyable dining experience.

We had an extremely good birthday lunch here today. I thought the beef cheek, the scallops and the lamb dishes were extremely tasty and well cooked but really everything was very good. There was ample food in the 3 course degustation. I had two wonderful glasses of wine: a 2020 Sergi ‘seductive’ basket pressed Shiraz and a 2023 Juniper Three Fields Chardonnay. It was a horrible day but we felt toasty-warm inside. The staff were lovely. I think James Mussillon served us himself - which was a treat.
We are coming again!

Our son & his fiancè booked our family for a birthday dinner surprise here. It was a truly delightful 6-course fine dining experience!
We were seated in a private room; service was superb and we even had the honour of James Mussillon himself coming to our table and chatted with us.
Thank you for the lovely experience, James and staff!

I won a bet with my husband. The wager: lunch at the swankiest restaurant in Canberra! As it had to be between Christmas and New Year, and accessible by public transport, we chose Courgette. We are so glad we did. It was almost like we were meant to dine here.
I was pleasantly surprised by the patronage on a Saturday after Christmas. There were four couples, two tables of three and a table of four. In another room, there was a large group.
The service was so respectful and efficient.
When I saw the meals arriving at tables in various shaped plates, colourful and abundant, I thought there must be an artist in the kitchen!
When you feel positive and slightly special even before your food has arrived, it gives you the best perspective and great expectation.
We opted for the 3 courses for $75. I usually don't choose dessert but I just had to try the deep fried Camembert. To start, I had the tuna followed by the lamb for main. My partner chose the duck, salmon and creme brulee. As he said, you couldn't find fault with anything.
James and his staff provided impeccable service. Thank you.

Fantastic dining experience – safe, thoughtful, and delicious
We dined at Courgette for my birthday dinner with my husband and had a wonderful experience from start to finish.
Both of us are anaphylactic to seafood, and the kitchen’s strict no–cross contamination policy immediately put us at ease. The staff were knowledgeable, confident, and clearly took food safety very seriously, which made us feel completely comfortable dining here — something that isn’t always easy when you have severe allergies.
The food was outstanding. We chose the three-course dinner and paired wines with each course, and every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The wine pairings were excellent and complemented the food perfectly.
We did have a short wait to be seated despite having a booking, the staff handled everything professionally.
Getting there and back was easy, we caught an Uber on the 27th of December and only waited around three minutes each way, including the return trip to our hotel. Payment at the table by card was also very convenient.
The chairs were surprisingly comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and all staff were polite and attentive. Overall, we had a fantastic evening and wouldn’t hesitate to return — especially for anyone with serious food allergies looking for a place they can truly trust.
Highly recommended.

My group of 5 came to Courgette to celebrate with an evening meal.
We all got the $85pp 3course meal.
It was an additional $3 per bread roll & $12 per side.
Complementary table water, with any sparkling water, alcohol or other drinks needing to be paid.
Our group of 5 was initially worried that servings would be small and that we would not be adequately fed. So alongside of the main course, we added 3 sides of 2-chips & 1-broccolini. We all left completely full, and we would have still been full with 2sides instead.
They also put little lit candles on the desserts for those we were celebrating - an extra special touch.
On a Saturday evening, the place appeared fully booked in the main dining room. There were also 2 separate smaller rooms, and then an outside dining space out the front.
The environment was clean, there was a glass window with green area lit up behind, pleasant background music where we didn't feel like we needed to whisper or shout.
Whilst the pricing was quite high with it probably more like $95pp without drinks, the food quality did feel worth the pricing.
There was free street parking on a parallel street for during the evening period.
